GLPFlo serves patients in states where our licensed prescribing physicians are credentialed and where compounded GLP-1 therapy is permitted under state pharmacy law. After you create an account, we'll confirm eligibility based on the shipping address you provide.

What side effects should I know about?

The most common side effects are mild GI symptoms — nausea, decreased appetite, occasional constipation or diarrhea — usually during the first few weeks or after a dose increase. Your prescriber will review the full risk/benefit profile during your medical visit and your Wellness Tracker lets you log symptoms so we can adjust your plan if needed.

How do refills work?

Refills are automatic on your monthly subscription cycle and ship in time for you to never miss a dose. You can pause, skip, or change your dose anytime by messaging your care team or in your dashboard.

How do I store my medication?

Your unopened vial should be refrigerated at 36–46°F (2–8°C). Once first punctured the vial automatically expires after 28 days. Remember to  discard any unused portion of the vial.

My vial arrived warm — is it ruined?

Almost certainly no. Compounded GLP-1 medications (semaglutide and tirzepatide) are chemically stable for at least 21 days at room temperatures up to 86°F (30°C) — that's the official FDA-label allowance on the branded versions (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound), which use the same active molecule we compound from.

Phase-change cold packs are designed to melt in transit; that's how they absorb heat and keep the vial cool. A warm vial and fully-melted cold packs on arrival is the expected outcome of a normal 2-7 day ground shipment, not a quality defect.

Do GLP-1 medications need to be refrigerated?

Refrigeration is preferred for unopened storage (36–46°F / 2–8°C) because it maximises the beyond-use date on your pharmacy label, but it is NOT required to keep the medication safe and effective. The FDA prescribing information for Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound all permit room-temperature storage up to 86°F (30°C) for 21–56 days depending on the product. Our compounded versions follow the same physical-chemistry rules.

The one thing you should never do: freeze the vial. Freezing can damage peptide medications.

Question 13

My cold packs were melted — should I worry?

Accepted Answer

No. Cold packs are sized to absorb heat for the worst-case 7-day summer transit. On a normal 2-3 day shipment they're often fully melted by day 2 — and that's by design. While the cold packs are still freezing/melting, they hold the inside of the shipper at ~36–46°F. After they finish melting they keep the shipper noticeably cooler than ambient for several more hours.

Use your vial as normal and refrigerate it once it's in your hands. If the vial is leaking, cracked, cloudy, or completely frozen solid, contact hello@glpflo.org within 24 hours and we'll replace it free of charge.

Question 14

What about summer / hot-weather shipping?

Our cold-chain shipper is validated for sustained ambient temperatures up to 86°F (30°C) for 168 hours (7 days). For destination forecasts at or above 95°F we'll proactively delay your ship date by 1-2 days, ship via 1-day expedited service, or add a third cold pack at no extra charge to keep the package cool the whole way to your door. You'll get an SMS if we make a weather-based adjustment to your shipment.

Is the packaging discreet?

Yes. Every shipment goes out in unbranded, HIPAA-compliant outer packaging. There's no GLPFlo logo, no pharmacy branding, and no medication name visible on the outside of the box. Return address is a generic distribution-center P.O. box. The only way to know what's inside is to open it.

My package was stolen or lost in transit. What now?

Contact us immediately at hello@glpflo.org with your order number and any carrier delivery scan (e.g. "Delivered" notification, security-camera screenshot, neighbour confirmation). We file the carrier claim on your behalf and ship a free replacement so you don't miss a dose. We do this for every confirmed theft or lost-in-transit case — no questions, no insurance upcharge.
